Sam Brasch

Board President

Sam joined the Adopt A Family’s Board of Directors in 2011. He is currently Sr. Managing Director at Kaiser Permanente Ventures. Sam has been an investor or operating executive in healthcare technology companies for the past 15 years. Sam received an MBA in Health Care Management from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and his BA in Public Policy from Stanford University. Sam was born and raised in Mill Valley and now lives in San Rafael with his wife, Alicia, and three children.

Lisa LaHorgue

Vice President

Lisa is a Communications Associate at Marin Academy, where she supports the efforts of the Advancement Office. She also acts as the liaison for the Marin Academy Parents Association, providing support in promoting MAPA’s many programs. Lisa received her B.A. from UC Santa Barbara in English, French, and Film Studies. She still loves the movies and reading, and is a life-long francophile. She recently joined the board of Adopt a Family of Marin.


Sylvie Zolezzi


Sylvie joined Adopt a Family’s Board of Directors in 2015. She currently is a luxury residential specialist with Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty in Greenbrae. Sylvie worked as an investment and commercial banker and a human resources manager for over 15 years. Sylvie received her BA from the Université d’Aix en Provence, France, her MA from Columbia University and attended business classes in the Fordham University MBA program. A French native, Sylvie moved to the United States to attend graduate school and never looked back.


Patti Anderson

Patti is the Ross Valley Women’s League liaison on the Adopt a Family of Marin’s board this year. She has been an active member of RVWL since 2011, holding a number of leadership positions and serving on their Executive Board. Patti is currently Principal/COO of Gear Up Consulting, LLC that specializes in management consulting. Previously, she was Regional Sales Manager for Vineyard Unlimited and worked in this marketing specialties business for 11 years. Her prior career was spent as a retail buyer for Macy’s for ten years. Patti graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Textiles and Clothing; Fashion Merchandising.


Adam Engelskirchen


Adam is President of the Capiterra Group, Inc., a San Francisco commercial real estate investment and advisory firm. He is a development advisor, real estate lawyer and commercial broker with particular expertise in leasing (including complex ground leases), historic buildings and public-private real estate transactions. A long-time open water swimmer, he completed a solo crossing of the English Channel in 2012.


Kelley Still

Kelley Still is the Director of Communications at Marin Academy. Prior to Marin Academy, Kelley specialized in corporate communications for Kearns & West, a strategic communications firm in San Francisco. Kelley began her career in journalism and served as the Editor of a newspaper group in Minnesota. In her spare time, Kelley loves to dance, play piano, and spend time with her family. She is also an active volunteer, having held leadership positions with the Junior League of San Francisco and The Princess Project. Kelley and her husband Zack live in San Anselmo with their daughter, Aria. They enjoy hiking, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. Kelley graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a B.A. in Journalism, and minors in both Photography and Dance.
